Hi it's been a long time since I opened this blog and unfortunately shortly after I started  I had to move house so didn't get back to add anymore posts. It took me ages to set my craft-room up and running again and to get it working with me and not against me.

So back to the card above.

I've made a LOT of these type cards for Christening, First Communion, Confirmation and Weddings so I will post another blog post straight after this with a few more pictures in.

The dies that I used were go kreate bookish xxl dies which I purchased to replace my booktrix board when I found it too difficult to cut out the shapes by hand. These are big dies and you will need an A4 cutting machine to cut them. I think I got a faulty set as mine have metal burs that peel off them and they are not very nice to use as the burs keep getting stuck in my fingers. I couldn't send them back because I needed them for orders I had at the time and the company wanted this set back before they would send me a new set.
This does not stop them from cutting ( yet) but it does make it a much more difficult job. The are not the same quality I am used to with spellbinders dies but I needed this shape so was a bit stuck.

The rest of this card is simple and self explanatory the Christening outfit for a boy was purchased on eBay as I've never managed to find the die for sale.
The words are done on my computer and its a matter of trial and error in getting the correct size.
Once I get it right I use this again and again and just edit it as I go.

Any questions please feel free to ask.

All the best Pauline x

wedding vow

Well here goes with my very first ever blog post!
I made this card for a friend its supposed to be silver and white but doesn't photograph very well and i am not the best at taking pictures of my cards. I promise to try and improve on this.

The card is A4 in size a popular size with people i know right now.
I went around the edges with 20mm red line tape and them applied cosmic shimmer mica flakes in luna silver. They seem to stick to this really well but i just give them a wee press just to make sure.

I cut the Wedding vow die from cheery lynn on my Grand calibur i run it through a few times with a little extra strip of paper down the centre as this bit was not catching on my machine. Its a bit more work but this is a stunning die so worth it. I layered it onto a silver background with foam pads and cut an extra bride and groom to layer up on top, i just snipped it from the frame.
I cut the mats from spellbinders labels 23 and matted them up, the printing was done on my computer and I love personalising my cards like this. I added some paper flowers and a bell die cut and its done.
This is quite a quick card to put together once the printing is done and it much brighter in real life.
hope you like it I would love to hear some feedback, take care Pauline x
